Another commercial project in 2013 – Freedom Village Papamoa. The owners expressed a desire here to create a sense of permanence with the use of timeless materials such as stone and weathered timber whilst also presenting a contemporary, modern style. The Entire street entrance, seating area, fencing and planting scheme was designed by Josh and he married together beautifully two bold mediums in Blue Basalt and Macrocarpa with accents in the form of corten steel signage and stone set street crossings. A simple coastal planting scheme soften and frame the solid materials. Construction and installation of these, plus the adjacent show home gardens and lawns were overseen and carried out by our team along with ATD Stonemasons and Greg Bond Bricklaying.
